The Samsung
Galaxy S4 16GB white was a hotly anticipated phone, following the
incredible success of its predecessor, the Galaxy S3. Apple had had its own way
for far too long with little trouble in the way of competition and the S3
actually put up a serious case for combatting this. The ultra-powerful, albeit
almost awkwardly large, reincarnation excels in just about everything that it
does. It has an incredible camera, stunning screen, and the kind of quad core
processor that would have been considered a smart computer a few years back.
Modern phones need a lot of power and they
need to be able to handle with as many, if not more, applications running at
the same time as laptops and computers. Not only does our phone operate as a
phone but a quick flick or swipe and we expect to be immediately transported to
our personal content library, browse the Internet, check emails, and play a few
high definition games. The 1.9GHz quad core processor and 2MB of RAM onboard
the Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB white
offers this capability and considerably more.
One area of obvious improvement comes in
the shape of the camera. Gone is the 8mp camera of both the S3 and S2 before
it. Instead, you will find a 13mp replacement – the kind of numbers that are
almost equal to lower end DSLR cameras. The camera will record in full HD and
has some quirky as well as some incredible features. You can, for example,
record 9 seconds of audio with your photo, although we have no idea why you
would genuinely want to except to show off the feature.
The biggest pitfall with buying the Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB white is the
16GB aspect of the phone. Samsung has promised incrementally larger storage
versions but for now you will have to make do with giving your phone memory a
near daily cleanout. Some of the most recent games require 2GB of space and
once you take into account system files while leaving a little room for
pictures, audio, and video, you will find that you need a microSD card a lot
sooner than you might have hoped; a microSD card, incidentally, which cannot be
used to store apps and games.
You might want to find a phone case for
your S4 that has the phone name emblazoned all over it. The design has so few,
miniscule differences when compared to its older brother that nobody will know
how cutting edge you are unless you insist on continuing to tell them all the
time or you find some other more subtle way of letting them know.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB White is a powerhouse of a phone and it breaks new
ground in its provision of top notch specifications. Its camera is exceptional,
its screen excellent, its processor ludicrously powerful, and its features are
so numerous that you will struggle your way to work through them over the space
of the first few weeks, nevermind days or hours.
